When we first sat down with Andrew and Sally to discuss their proposed home addition we were instantly in love with the architecturally high ceilings created by the rear design.  Complemented with a stunning floating tread staircase and chic black kitchen this was certainly to be a show stopping home.

 

Andrew and Sally wanted a larger home for their growing family with an emphasis on having the ‘parents retreat’ and that's certainly what they got.  With the new upstairs purely consisting of a master bedroom suite, walk-through wardrobe into an amazing ensuite overlooking the city skyline, it’s a luxury haven which would have many not wanting to leave the view from within the stunning bath tub.

 

Downstairs we removed half of the existing home and built out to create the open planned living room and kitchen/dining area situated under the expansive void and oversized sliding doors to allow them to look out into their tranquil garden and also to allow for indoor/outdoor entertaining.

 

This home won the 2018 Master Builders NSW award for best renovation in the $550,001 - $650,000 category and the HIA Housing excellence award in the $400,000 - $600,000 category.
